Conscious Sedation

Sedation is a technique which is used to sedate the person for any medical or dental procedures. #Sedation can be done through medications given intra venous, intra muscular or through masks. The sedation done with help of masks is called #Conscious #Sedation. Conscious sedation is done with help of #NitrousOxide and oxygen. This technique is used to reduce anxiety, discomfort of the patient and then anaesthesia can be given. During this technique and procedure the patient remains awake but might not be able to speak. The sedative effect of the drug wears off during the day and the patient can return to normal activities.
